Curriculum Vitae
Laura studied Physics at University of Pisa, where she graduated in 2001, with a thesis on Medical Physics. Since 2001, she started to collaborated with IRCCS Fondazione Stella Maris as external collaborator, at the Magnetic Resonance Laboratory. Her principal interests were the development and the application of advanced MR techniques to the neurological and psychiatric diseases of pediatric age. She received her PhD in Applied Physics from University of Pisa in 2005. From 2005 to 2007 she obtained a three-year contract for young investigator with IRCCS Stella Maris for a ministerial grant entitled

Research Interests
Development of advanced MR techniques at different magnetic fields (clinical and at ultra high field, 7T) for structural, functional and metabolic characterization of human brain, such as high resolution quantitative imaging, functional studies, measurement of cerebral perfusion, study of functional and structural connectivity. Principal target of their application is the comprehension of cerebral mechanisms and processes occurring in humans from birth to adult age, both in the typical development both in neurological and psychiatric disorders of developmental age.
